What Size Is an Extra Long Shower Curtain?

In Australia, a standard shower curtain measures about 180 × 180 cm (width × drop). An extra long shower curtain has a longer drop, so it still reaches the floor or the inside of the bath when the rail is mounted higher than usual. Here's how our sizes compare:

How to Measure for a Long Shower Curtain

1. Measure the drop. Measure from the rail down to the floor for a walk-in shower, or to about 10–15 cm below the rim of the bath if the curtain hangs inside the tub. Allow a few centimetres for hooks or rings.
2. Measure the width. Measure your rail. Around 120 cm suits a single shower, 180–200 cm suits most baths, and 240–300 cm covers wide baths, corner showers and walk-in enclosures.
3. Round up. If you're between two sizes, choose the longer drop. A curtain that sits slightly low keeps water in better than one that stops short.
