How Does a Diatomite Bath Mat Work?

Diatomite is made of tiny fossilised algae shells full of microscopic pores. When you step on it with wet feet, the water is drawn into those pores instead of sitting on the surface, then evaporates. The result is a mat that looks dry again shortly after your shower.

How to Care for a Diatomite Bath Mat

Wipe the mat with a damp cloth. Over time, soap and body oils can clog the pores and slow absorption: lightly sand the surface with the included sandpaper, then wipe away the dust. Keep the mat flat on its underlay and let it dry between uses.
